darxcmd(1)

Darxite client that sends a raw command to the daemon

NAME

darxcmd - Darxite client that sends a raw command to the daemon

SYNOPSIS

darxcmd [OPTIONS] command

DESCRIPTION

darxcmd simply sends the specified command to the daemon, prints the response, and returns. If "command" is blank or -, it will read the command (or a series of commands) from standard input. Thus it can be used for scripting the daemon and the like.

OPTIONS

-v, --version

Shows the program's version and exits.

-h, --help

Shows some usage information and exits.

-c<host>:<port>, --connect <host>:<port>

Connects to the Darxite daemon running on <host>, listening on <port>. If run with this option, the first thing the program will do is ask for a password.

-e, --echo

Echoes each command as it is sent.

-f<file>, --file <file>

Reads a list of commands from <file>, sending them in order.

-q, --quiet

Makes the program completely silent.

-r, --noresponse

Instead of waiting for a response from the daemon after sending a command, this option causes the program to return immediately.

-t<secs>, --timeout <secs>

When waiting for the daemon to respond, timeout after <secs>. This option is only really useful when running the daemon remotely with a very slow connection.

FILES

/usr/bin/darxcmd Default executable
