# convertstyle(1)

converts a pre 0.6.3 WindowMaker style to a 0.10.0 style

## NAME

convertstyle - converts a pre 0.6.3 WindowMaker style to a 0.10.0 style

## SYNOPSIS

**convertstyle** *stylefile*

## DESCRIPTION

**convertstyle** reads the specified *stylefile,* and dumps a 0.10.0 version to stdout. The format hasn't changed since then (at least not in 0.14.1, the most current version at the time of writing), but many keys have been added.

## NOTES

This script is provided for *backwards compatibility.* It **requieres** [tclsh(1)](/tclsh/1.md) to be installed on the system. The Debian package **does not** recommend, suggest or depend on the tcl package because nothing else on WindowMaker uses Tcl.
