# consistentc(1)

check and repair webbase database

## NAME

consistentc - check and repair webbase database

## SYNOPSIS

consistentc \[options\]

## DESCRIPTION

**consistentc** is used to maintain check and repair the consistency (hence the name) of a webbase database. Without any options it only checks the consistency of the database and issue messages if errors were found. No repair is done.

## OPTIONS

- **-verbose**

  Verbose mode.

- **-base \<base name\>**

name of the **mysql** database to use for the Meta data information.

- **-servers**

Fill or repair the servers table from the list of URLs found in the start table. Existing entries are preserved and their refcount field updating, missing entries are added and entries that have no counterpart in the start table are removed. If the hook library defines a custom url2server function, this option must be associated to the -hook option. See [crawler(1)](/crawler/1.md) for an explanation of the -hook option.

- **-keys**

  Same as -keys\_md5 -keys\_normalize -keys\_url

- **-keys\_md5**

Recompute the **url\_md5** field for the **start** and **url** tables.

- **-keys\_normalize**

Normalize, in the sense defined by [uri(3)](/uri/3.md), the **url** field in the **start** and **url** tables.

- **-keys\_url**

Fill the **url\_key** field of the **url** table.

- **-repair**

Repair inconsistencies by modifying the database. Make sure no crawlers are running or corruption is guarrantied.
