# ck\_ht\_iterator\_init(3)

initialize hash table iterator

## NAME

**ck\_ht\_iterator\_init** – initialize hash table iterator

## LIBRARY

Concurrency Kit (libck, -lck)

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<ck\_ht.h\>**

ck\_ht\_iterator\_t iterator = CK\_HT\_ITERATOR\_INITIALIZER

*void*\

**ck\_ht\_iterator\_init**(*ck\_ht\_iterator\_t \*iterator*);

## DESCRIPTION

The **ck\_ht\_iterator\_init**() function will initialize the object pointed to by the *iterator* argument. Alternatively, an iterator may be statically initialized by assigning it the CK\_HT\_ITERATOR\_INITIALIZER value.

An iterator is used to iterate through hash table entries with the [ck\_ht\_next(3)](/ck_ht_next/3.md) function.

## RETURN VALUES

The **ck\_ht\_iterator\_init**() function does not return a value.

## ERRORS

This function will not fail.
