## NAME

rbsmtp, rsmtp, cbsmtp, rcsmtp, rgsmtp - handle bsmtp batches received via uucp

## SYNOPSIS

**rbsmtp**\
 **rsmtp**\
 **cbsmtp**\

 **rgsmtp**

## DESCRIPTION

This program (with its different names) reads a BSMTP batch received via UUCP, unpacks it and sends it to [**sendmail**(8)](/sendmail/8.md).

It uncompresses [**gzip**(1)](/gzip/1.md) and [**compress**(1)](/compress/1.md) batches by using [**gunzip**(1)](/gunzip/1.md), uncompresses  [**bzip2**(1)](/bzip2/1.md) batches using [**bunzip2**(1)](/bunzip2/1.md), and it uncompresses **freeze**(1) batches by using [**melt**(1)](/melt/1.md).

Don't forget to configure your UUCP system to allow the sender sending batches with the above command names. Simply add a line like this to the corresponding system in  */etc/uucp/sys*:

commands	rmail rnews rbsmtp rsmtp cbsmtp rcsmtp rgsmtp
```
