NAME
ax25-ports - AX.25 port description file.
DESCRIPTION
The file /etc/ax25-ports defines a mapping between AX.25 packet radio ports and packet radio interfaces.
Each line in the file represents one port. The first line is port 1, the second is port 2, and so on. Port 1 is the first interface that was configured with axattach(8) since boot time, port 2 is the second, etc. Thus, the order of the ports in this file and the order of the ports in the shell script that calls axattach(8) must match.
There are four entries in the file for each port, separated by spaces or tabs. The first is the callsign, with optional extension, to be used on that interface. The second is a Baud rate of the interface. The third is the packet window (an integer between 1 and 7). The fourth is the frequency of the radio connected to that interface.
EXAMPLE
This example shows two TNCs in use at station AB6YM. The first is a 1200-Baud TNC on 145.75 MHz, the second is a 9600-Baud TNC on 433.43 MHz. A packet window of 7 is used for both interfaces.
