al\_set\_new\_display\_refresh\_rate - Allegro 5 API

## DESCRIPTION

Sets the refresh rate to use when creating new displays on the calling thread. If the refresh rate is not available, [al\_create\_display(3)](/al_create_display/3.md) will fail. A list of modes with refresh rates can be found with [al\_get\_num\_display\_modes(3)](/al_get_num_display_modes/3.md) and [al\_get\_display\_mode(3)](/al_get_display_mode/3.md).

The default setting is zero (don’t care).
