## DESCRIPTION

**XmActivateWMProtocol** is a convenience interface. It calls **XmActivateProtocol** with the property value set to the atom returned by interning **WM\_PROTOCOLS**.

- *shell*

  Specifies the widget with which the protocol property is associated

- *protocol*

  Specifies the protocol **Atom**
