# WdtpInterfacePointer\_UserSize(3w)

## NAME

**WdtpInterfacePointer\_UserSize** (OLE32.@)

## SYNOPSIS

ULONG \_\_RPC\_USER WdtpInterfacePointer\_UserSize\
  (\
   ULONG\* *pFlags*,\
   ULONG *RealFlags*,\
   ULONG *StartingSize*,\
   IUnknown\* *punk*,\
   REFIID *riid*\
  )

## DESCRIPTION

Calculates the buffer size required to marshal an interface pointer.

## PARAMS

*pFlags* **\[In\]** Flags. See notes.

*RealFlags* **\[In\]** The **MSHCTX** to use when marshaling the interface.

*punk* **\[In\]** Interface pointer to size.

*StartingSize* **\[In\]** Starting size of the buffer. This value is added on to the buffer size required for the clip format.

*riid* **\[In\]** Id of interface to size.

## RETURNS

The buffer size required to marshal an interface pointer plus the starting size.

## NOTES

Even though the function is documented to take a pointer to a **ULONG** in *pFlags*, it actually takes a pointer to a **USER\_MARSHAL\_CB** structure, of which the first parameter is a **ULONG**.

## IMPLEMENTATION

Not declared in a Wine header. The function is either undocumented, or missing from Wine.

Implemented in **"dlls/ole32/usrmarshal.c"**.

Debug channel **"ole"**.
