*TIFFFieldName()* returns the textual name for a TIFF field. *fip* is a field information pointer previously returned by *TIFFFindField()*, *TIFFFieldWithTag()*, or *TIFFFieldWithName()*.

## RETURN VALUES

*TIFFFieldName()* returns a constant C string.
