## DESCRIPTION

Converts a **STRRET** to a normal string.

## PARAMS

*lpStrRet* **\[Out\]**  **STRRET** to convert.

*pidl* **\[In\]**  **ITEMIDLIST** for *lpStrRet-\>uType* == **STRRET\_OFFSET**.

*ppszName* **\[Out\]**  Destination for converted string.

## RETURNS

**Success:** **S\_OK**. *ppszName* contains the new string, allocated with **[CoTaskMemAlloc(3w)](/CoTaskMemAlloc/3w.md)**.

**Failure:** **E\_FAIL**, if any parameters are invalid.
