SNMP Interface to Avaya Secure Routers

## NAME

SNMP::Info::Layer3::Tasman - SNMP Interface to Avaya Secure Routers

## AUTHOR

Eric Miller

## SYNOPSIS

```
 # Let SNMP::Info determine the correct subclass for you.
 my $tasman = new SNMP::Info(
                        AutoSpecify => 1,
                        Debug       => 1,
                        # These arguments are passed directly to SNMP::Session
                        DestHost    => 'myswitch',
                        Community   => 'public',
                        Version     => 2
                        )
    or die "Can't connect to DestHost.\n";
 my $class      = $tasman->class();
 print "SNMP::Info determined this device to fall under subclass : $class\n";
```

## DESCRIPTION

Subclass for Avaya Secure Routers

### Inherited Classes

- SNMP::Info::Layer3

  - SNMP::Info::MAU

  ### Required MIBs

- *NT-ENTERPRISE-DATA-MIB*

  - *SYSTEM-MIB*

  - *CHASSIS-MIB*

  - *ENVIRONMENT-MIB*

  - Inherited Classes' MIBs

  See "Required MIBs" in SNMP::Info::Layer3 for its own MIB requirements.

  See "Required MIBs" in SNMP::Info::MAU for its own MIB requirements.

## GLOBALS

These are methods that return scalar values from SNMP

- $tasman-\>**vendor()**

  Returns `'avaya'`

- $tasman-\>**model()**

  Tries to get the model from `"nnchassisModel"` and if not available cross references `$tasman`-\>**id()** to *NT-ENTERPRISE-DATA-MIB*.

  Substitutes 'SR' for `'ntSecureRouter'` in the name for readability.

- $tasman-\>**os()**

  Returns `'tasman'`

- $tasman-\>**os\_ver()**

  Grabs the os version from `"nnsysVersion"`

- $tasman-\>**ps1\_type()**

  (`"nnenvPwrsupType.1"`)

- $tasman-\>**ps1\_status()**

  (`"nnenvPwrsupStatus.1"`)

- $tasman-\>**ps2\_type()**

  (`"nnenvPwrsupType.2"`)

- $tasman-\>**ps2\_status()**

  (`"nnenvPwrsupStatus.2"`)

- $tasman-\>**nn\_sys\_ver()**

  (`"nnsysVersion.0"`)

- $tasman-\>**nn\_ch\_model()**

  (`"nnchassisModel.0"`)

- $tasman-\>**nn\_ch\_op\_stat()**

  (`"nnchassisOperStatus.0"`)

- $tasman-\>**nn\_ch\_serial()**

  (`"nnchassisSerialNumber.0"`)

- $tasman-\>**serial()**

  Tries both (`"nnchassisOperStatus"`) and (`"nnchassisSerialNumber"`) as oid was redefined between versions.

## TABLE METHODS

These are methods that return tables of information in the form of a reference to a hash.

- $tasman-\>**i\_duplex\_admin()**

  Returns reference to hash of iid to administrative duplex setting.

  First checks for fixed gigabit ports which are always full duplex. Next checks the port administrative speed (`"portAdminSpeed"`) which if set to autonegotiate then the duplex will also autonegotiate, otherwise it uses the reported port duplex (`"portDuplex"`).

- $tasman-\>**i\_speed\_admin()**

  Returns reference to hash of iid to administrative speed setting.

  `"portAdminSpeed"`

### Pseudo *ENTITY-MIB* information

These methods emulate *ENTITY-MIB* Physical Table methods using *CHASSIS-MIB*.

- $tasman-\>**e\_index()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: Integer.

- $tasman-\>**e\_class()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: General hardware type.

- $tasman-\>**e\_descr()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: Human friendly name

- $tasman-\>**e\_vendor()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: avaya

- $tasman-\>**e\_serial()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: Serial number

- $tasman-\>**e\_pos()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: The relative position among all entities sharing the same parent.

- $tasman-\>**e\_type()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: Type of component/sub-component.

- $tasman-\>**e\_parent()**

  Returns reference to hash. Key: IID, Value: The value of **e\_index()** for the entity which 'contains' this entity. A value of zero indicates	this entity is not contained in any other entity.

- $entity-\>**e\_fru()**

  BOOLEAN. Is a Field Replaceable unit?
