## NAME

## SYNOPSIS

HRESULT SHReadDataBlockList\

   IStream\*  *lpStream*,\
   LPDBLIST\* *lppList*\
  )

## DESCRIPTION

Read and create a DataBlock list from an **IStream** object.

## PARAMS

*lpStream* **\[In\]**  Stream to read the list from.

*lppList* **\[0\]**  Pointer to receive the new List.

## RETURNS

**Success:** **S\_OK**

**Failure:** An **HRESULT** error code.

## NOTES

When read from a file, list objects are limited in size to 64k. See **[SHWriteDataBlockList(3w)](/SHWriteDataBlockList/3w.md)**.

## IMPLEMENTATION

Exported by ordinal only. Use **[GetProcAddress(3w)](/GetProcAddress/3w.md)** to obtain a pointer to the function.
