## NAME

## SYNOPSIS

HRESULT SHIStream\_Read\
  (\
   IStream\* *lpStream*,\
   LPVOID   *lpvDest*,\
   ULONG    *ulSize*\
  )

## DESCRIPTION

Call **IStream\_Read(3w)** on a stream.

## PARAMS

*lpStream* **\[In\]**  **IStream** object.

*lpvDest* **\[Out\]**  Destination for data read.

*ulSize* **\[In\]**  Size of data to read.

## RETURNS

**Success:** **S\_OK**. *ulSize* bytes have been read from the stream into *lpvDest*.

**Failure:** An **HRESULT** error code, or **E\_FAIL** if the read succeeded but the number of bytes read does not match.

## IMPLEMENTATION

Not declared in a Wine header. The function is either undocumented, or missing from Wine.

Implemented in **"dlls/shlwapi/istream.c"**.
