## DESCRIPTION

Retrieve a key value from an **INI** file. See GetPrivateProfileString for more information.

## PARAMS

*appName* **\[In\]**  The section in the **INI** file that contains the key.

*keyName* **\[In\]**  The key to be retrieved.

*out* **\[Out\]**  The buffer into which the key's value will be copied.

*outLen* **\[In\]**  The length of the \`out' buffer.

*filename* **\[In\]**  The location of the **INI** file.

## RETURNS

Length of string copied into \`out'.

## IMPLEMENTATION

Exported by ordinal only. Use **[GetProcAddress(3w)](/GetProcAddress/3w.md)** to obtain a pointer to the function.
