**bool SDL\_SetPointerProperty(SDL\_PropertiesID props, const char \*name, void \*value);**

## FUNCTION PARAMETERS

- *props*

  the properties to modify.

- *name*

  the name of the property to modify.

- *value*

  the new value of the property, or NULL to delete the property.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns true on success or false on failure; call

**SDL\_GetError** () for more information.

## THREAD SAFETY

It is safe to call this function from any thread.

## AVAILABILITY

This function is available since SDL 3.2.0.
