## SYNOPSIS

#include "SDL3/SDL.h"
```

**bool SDL\_InitSubSystem(SDL\_InitFlags flags);**

## DESCRIPTION

This function and  **SDL\_Init** () are interchangeable.

## FUNCTION PARAMETERS

- *flags*

  any of the flags used by  **SDL\_Init** (); see  **SDL\_Init**\
    for details.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns true on success or false on failure; call

**SDL\_GetError** () for more information.

## AVAILABILITY

This function is available since SDL 3.2.0.
