**RDLP\_Backlight**(*PConnection \*pconn*, *Bool set*, *Bool newState*);

## DESCRIPTION

**RDLP\_Backlight** queries whether the backlight is turned on on a Palm, and optionally turns it on or off.

If *set* is true, **RDLP\_Backlight** turns the backlight on or off, according to *newState*. If *newState* is true, the backlight is turned on; otherwise the backlight is turned off. If *set* is false, *newState* is ignored.

## RETURN VALUE

**RDLP\_Backlight** returns 0 if the backlight was turned off prior to the call to **RDLP\_Backlight**, or a non-zero value if the backlight was turned on.
