# PostgresDB.connect(3kaya)

Connect to a database.

## NAME

PostgresDB::connect - Connect to a database.

## SYNOPSIS

**DBHandle\<PGConnection\> connect(** *String info* **)**

## ARGUMENTS

**info** The database host to connect to. The syntax for this argument is described in the Postgres documentation ⟨http://www.postgresql.org/docs/8.2/static/libpq-connect.html⟩

## DESCRIPTION

Use this function to connect to the database. You can then use the functions from **DB(3kaya)** to query the database.

    db = PostgresDB::connect(conninfo);\
    res = exec(db,"SELECT \* FROM pagedata WHERE page\_id = 10");
