## NAME

PX\_date2string — Convert paradox date into formatted string

## SYNOPSIS

char \* PX\_date2string(pxdoc\_t \*pxdoc, long date, const char \*format)

## DESCRIPTION

Creates a string representation of a paradox date as specified  in the parameter **format**.  The date must be  either retrieved with **[PX\_get\_data\_long(3)](/PX_get_data_long/3.md)** after  calling **[PX\_get\_record(3)](/PX_get_record/3.md)** or by simply using the  long value in the pxval\_t struct as returned by  **[PX\_retrieve\_record(3)](/PX_retrieve_record/3.md)**. The function uses internally  the **[PX\_timestamp2string(3)](/PX_timestamp2string/3.md)** function.  The format string may contain all chars as documented with  **[PX\_timestamp2string(3)](/PX_timestamp2string/3.md)**, though only those concerning  the date will produce resonable results.

## RETURN VALUE

Returns pointer to string on success and NULL on failure.
