# PHYSFS\_deprecated(3)

Deprecated List

## NAME

deprecated - Deprecated List

- **Global PHYSFS\_addToSearchPath (const char \*newDir, int appendToPath)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.0, use **PHYSFS\_mount()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow.

- **Global PHYSFS\_enumerateFilesCallback (const char \*dir, PHYSFS\_EnumFilesCallback c, void \*d)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_enumerate()** instead. This function has no way to report errors (or to have the callback signal an error or request a stop), so if data will be lost, your callback has no way to direct the process, and your calling app has no way to know.

- **Global PHYSFS\_getLastError (void)**

  -

  Use **PHYSFS\_getLastErrorCode()** and **PHYSFS\_getErrorByCode()** instead.

- **Global PHYSFS\_getLastModTime (const char \*filename)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_stat()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow.

- **Global PHYSFS\_getUserDir (void)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, you probably want **PHYSFS\_getPrefDir()**.

- **Global PHYSFS\_isDirectory (const char \*fname)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_stat()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow.

- **Global PHYSFS\_isSymbolicLink (const char \*fname)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_stat()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow.

- **Global PHYSFS\_read (PHYSFS\_File \*handle, void \*buffer, PHYSFS\_uint32 objSize, PHYSFS\_uint32 objCount)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_readBytes()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow. This function never clarified what would happen if you managed to read a partial object, so working at the byte level makes this cleaner for everyone, especially now that **PHYSFS\_Io** interfaces can be supplied by the application.

- **Global PHYSFS\_removeFromSearchPath (const char \*oldDir)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_unmount()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow. There's no functional difference except the vocabulary changed from "adding to the search path" to "mounting" when that functionality was extended, and thus the preferred way to accomplish this function's work is now called "unmounting."

- **Global PHYSFS\_write (PHYSFS\_File \*handle, const void \*buffer, PHYSFS\_uint32 objSize, PHYSFS\_uint32 objCount)**

  -

As of PhysicsFS 2.1, use **PHYSFS\_writeBytes()** instead. This function just wraps it anyhow. This function never clarified what would happen if you managed to write a partial object, so working at the byte level makes this cleaner for everyone, especially now that **PHYSFS\_Io** interfaces can be supplied by the application.
