# PConn\_bind(3)

bind an address to a PConnection

## NAME

**PConn\_bind** – bind an address to a *PConnection*

## LIBRARY

*libpconn*

## SYNOPSIS

**#include \<palm.h\>**

**#include \<pconn/pconn.h\>**

*int*\

**PConn\_bind**(*PConnection \*pconn*, *const void \*addr*, *const int addrlen*);

## DESCRIPTION

**PConn\_bind** associates an address with *pconn*, which must already have been created with **new\_PConnection**().

In practice, this function is not terribly useful. If *pconn* was created with PCONN\_STACK\_FULL, use

```
        struct slp_addr pcaddr;
        pcaddr.protocol = SLP_PKTTYPE_PAD;
        pcaddr.port = (ubyte) SLP_PORT_DLP;
        PConn_bind(pconn, &pcaddr, sizeof(struct slp_addr));
```

In all other cases, *addr* and *addrlen* are ignored. However, it is still necessary to call **PConn\_bind** since it may have side effects.
