# NJB\_Adjust\_EAX(3)

adjust the EAX effects of an NJB (including volume).

## NAME

NJB\_Adjust\_EAX - adjust the EAX effects of an NJB (including volume).

## LIBRARY

libnjb

## SYNOPSIS

\#include \<libnjb.h\>

extern int njb\_error

void NJB\_Adjust\_EAX(njb\_t **\*njb,** u\_int16\_t **eaxid,** u\_int16\_t **patchindex,** int16\_t **scalevalue** )

## DESCRIPTION

NJB\_Adjust\_EAX is used to modify the values of different EAX effects, including volume. The unique **eaxid** of each effect must first be retrieved using the [NJB\_Reset\_Get\_EAX\_Type(3)](/NJB_Reset_Get_EAX_Type/3.md) and [NJB\_Get\_EAX\_Type(3)](/NJB_Get_EAX_Type/3.md) functions, which also determines the maximum **patchindex** and **scalevalue** values for a certain EAX type.

## PARAMETERS

- **eaxid**

This is the unique ID for the EAX effect as returned from [NJB\_Get\_EAX\_Type(3)](/NJB_Get_EAX_Type/3.md). This must be given for each call to the function.

- **patchindex**

This is the index of a selectable patch. For EAX effects that do not have selectable patches, this should be set to **0**

- **scalevalue**

This is the scale value to set for an EAX effect that has scaleable values. For EAX effects that do not have scaleable values, this should be set to **0.** Observe that this value may be negative!

## REMARKS

It is possible for a effect to have both selectable patches and scaleable values. In case one or the other is not available, set the corresponding value to **0.**
