## NAME

Lire::XMLUtils - Collection of useful functions when processing XML files.

## SYNOPSIS

use Lire::XMLUtils qw/xml\_encode/;

## DESCRIPTION

Lire::XMLUtils contains useful functions when processing or writing  XML files.

No functions are exported by default, you have to specify the one you want to import in your namespace when you use the module.

The defined functions are:

- xml\_encode

  Converts standard the characters \<,\>,&," and ' to their XML entities.

  Use like this

  ```
      print XML_STREAM xml_encode( $value );
  ```
