## NAME

**IsValidMetaFile16** (GDI.410)

## SYNOPSIS

BOOL16 IsValidMetaFile16\

   HMETAFILE16 *hmf*\
  )

## DESCRIPTION

Attempts to check if a given metafile is correctly formatted. Currently, the only things verified are several properties of the header.

## RETURNS

**TRUE** if *hmf* passes some tests for being a valid metafile, **FALSE** otherwise.

## BUGS

This is not exactly what Windows(tm) does, see \_Undocumented\_Windows\_ for details.

Declared in **"wine/wingdi16.h"**.

Implemented in **"dlls/gdi.exe16/metafile.c"**.
