# DynRootDB(5)

AFS cells and database servers

## NAME

**DynRootDB** – AFS cells and database servers

## DESCRIPTION

The file **DynRootDB** specifies what AFS cells that should appear in the AFS root (*/afs*) when starting **arlad** and **arla-cli.**

Each line in the file should contain one cell, for example

```
stacken.kth.se
e.kth.se
nada.kth.se
it.kth.se
```

**DynRootDB** is read when **arlad** is started, normally when the system boots.

If there file **DynRootDB** doesn't exist, then all cells listed in the CellServDB and the dynamically found nodes appear in the */afs* directory.
