## SYNOPSIS

**struct passwd \*Cgetpwnam(char \****name***);**

**struct passwd \*Cgetpwuid(uid\_t** *uid***);**

## ERRORS

If the **Cthread** interface is chosen and activated, the errors value are in the **serrno** variable.

## DESCRIPTION

**Cpwd** is a common Thread-Safe API interface to get entries in the password file vs. **name** or **uid.**
