# Compress.uncompressBinary(3kaya)

Uncompress a block of binary data.

## NAME

Compress::uncompressBinary - Uncompress a block of binary data.

## SYNOPSIS

**Binary uncompressBinary(** *Binary b, var Int outlen* **)**

## ARGUMENTS

**b** The block to uncompress

**outlen** The expected uncompressed length

## DESCRIPTION

Uncompress a block of binary data that has been compressed with **Compress.compressBinary (3kaya)**\
  The uncompressed block will be returned. If uncompression fails, a **Compress.UncompressionFailed (3kaya)** Exception will be thrown.

If the real uncompressed length is larger than the expected length, uncompression will fail. If it is smaller, this is wasted memory.
