# ACE\_POSIX\_SIG\_Asynch\_Read\_Stream(3)

This class implements ACE\_Asynch\_Read\_Stream for Real-Time Signal (sigtimedwait) based implementation of Proactor.

## NAME

ACE\_POSIX\_SIG\_Asynch\_Read\_Stream -

This class implements ACE\_Asynch\_Read\_Stream for Real-Time Signal (sigtimedwait) based implementation of Proactor.

## SYNOPSIS

```
class ACE_POSIX_SIG_Asynch_Read_Stream :
  public virtual ACE_Asynch_Read_Stream_Impl,
  public ACE_POSIX_SIG_Asynch_Operation
{
  public:
    ACE_POSIX_SIG_Asynch_Read_Stream (
        ACE_POSIX_SIG_Proactor *posix_sig_proactor
        );
    int read (
        ACE_Message_Block &message_block,
        u_long bytes_to_read,
        const void *act,
        int priority,
        int signal_number
        );
    virtual ~ACE_POSIX_SIG_Asynch_Read_Stream (void);
    int open (
        ACE_Handler &handler,
        ACE_HANDLE handle,
        const void *completion_key,
        ACE_Proactor *proactor = 0
        );
    int cancel (void);
    ACE_Proactor* proactor (void) const;
  protected:
    int shared_read (ACE_POSIX_Asynch_Read_Stream_Result *result);
};
```

## DESCRIPTION

The implementation classes for POSIX implementation of Asynch Operations are defined here in this file.

## Methods belong to ACE\_POSIX\_Asynch\_Operation base class. These

methods are defined here to avoid dominace warnings. They route the call to the ACE\_POSIX\_Asynch\_Operation base class.

```
int open (
    ACE_Handler &handler,
    ACE_HANDLE handle,
    const void *completion_key,
    ACE_Proactor *proactor = 0
    );
```

Initializes the factory with information which will be used with each asynchronous call. If (handle == ACE\_INVALID\_HANDLE), ACE\_Handler::handle will be called on the handler to get the correct handle.

```
int cancel (void);
```

@@ Not implemented. Returns 0.

```
ACE_Proactor* proactor (void) const;
```

Return the underlying proactor.
